Fun for a Buck : Painter’s Tape Roadways

Fun for a Buck

Looking for some frugal entertainment for your little one(s)? We’re always looking for creative ways to play without breaking the bank. We like to pass those ideas onto you through our Fun for a Buck Series.

A new activity that has been a hit with our four boys is Painter’s Tape Roadways.  The idea is simple, cheap, and fabulous! (Especially for transportation loving boys!) All you need is a roll of painter’s tape and some matchbox sized vehicles.  Tape the painter’s tape into a big enough road to navigate around the room. We made stops along the way with our Fisher-Price Airport, Barn, and School. Add some cars and let the traffic games begin!

Fun for a Buck: Painting With Water

Fun for a Buck

There were so many great ideas shared in my last “Fun for a Buck” post that I couldn’t wait to try out, including “painting” with water.  So far we’ve painted the sidewalk, the rocks, and the van wheels. =) Just grab some cheap paintbrushes or sponges and a container for the water and let them paint the town! Dry and Repeat!

Thanks to Trish, Naomi, TripleThreat, Gail, and MaryBeth for sharing this genius idea!

Hope these ideas inspire you to have fun with your family without spending a load of money, because some of the best things in life are free (or almost). If you have a “Fun for a Buck” ideas feel free to share them!  I’d love to try them out and share them! (Giving you credit, of course!)
